Repeated games
Betraying the other player is the correct move once. How many times must you meet again before it stops being correct?
Two people can stay silent or confess, and confessing pays better whenever they meet only once. Give them a run of meetings instead and every strategy plays every other, with the middle panel ranking them all by total points. Move the rounds dial and watch that ranking turn over.
