The bouncer at the door
The limit is 5 a minute. Under a fixed window, how many can one client land in a two-second span?
The bouncer keeps one running count for one client and turns away anyone past the limit. Ten requests arrive on a fixed clock, and the list marks where the minute rolls over. Watch the count the middle panel is keeping reset at that seam, and see who gets in just after.
