Cache line life
You asked for four bytes and sixty-four arrived. Who paid for the other sixty, and who else wanted them?
Memory never moves one byte on its own. It moves a whole sixty-four-byte line, and the first tab walks an array with a gap you choose, showing how much of each hauled line the loop actually reads. Widen the gap and watch the traffic grow while the read count stays the same.
Two instruments share one pair of tabs. On a narrow screen, each one's three panels stack. With JavaScript off, both render in full, one after the other.
try this Drag How far apart the reads are to its widest, then switch to Two threads, two counters and watch The bill.
