The veil
Behind the veil you don't know which of a hundred people you will be. Society A has the higher average and strands a tenth; B protects the floor. Which do you pick - and how much caution does it take to switch?
A hundred people, two rule sets. In A ninety do well and ten are stranded; in B nobody falls far, and nobody does as well. You choose before learning which of the hundred you will be. The panels show both societies, which one a chooser of your caution picks, and a thousand people dropped in at random.
On a narrow screen the three panels stack below the two dials, and the table scrolls sideways.
try this Drag How low A's bottom tenth falls from 12 down to 8 and watch The chooser picks switch from A to B.
