The Alarm That Won’t Switch Off (stress after failure)

A climber’s hand reaching for a hold just out of reach. The first lesson of this track said that is where skill grows. It did not say what happens when the hand misses. This lesson is about the fall: the racing heart before a hard attempt, and the replay in your head after a bad one.
Before you start. Deliberate Practice (how expertise is actually built) asked you to practise where you fail some of the time, because that is where feedback is richest. Energy, Goals & Recovery (manage energy, not time) treated recovery as mostly physical: sleep, breaks, a body that refills. This lesson covers the mental half of recovery, which is what decides whether a reader who fails at the edge comes back the next day.
