The bill nobody reads

The board opens on renting a slice of someone else’s machine by the hour. This lesson is about the invoice that comes with the rent.
Before you start. EC2 & Instances - what you are actually renting gave you the rented machine: a virtual server is a slice of a real computer in someone else’s building, and you pay for every hour it is switched on. Routing & Gateways gave you the doors traffic leaves a network by, and Object Storage and the CDN gave you files kept in a store and sent out to readers; this lesson adds that every byte through those doors has a price too.
