The Restore Nobody Tested

The harbour’s warehouse: the real disk that stays when the ship that used it sails. That board ends on a disk that outlives the pod. This lesson asks what outlives the disk.
Before you start. Config, Secrets & Storage gave you the warehouse: a pod can die, but its data sits on a real disk that stays, and the next pod picks up the same disk. You also need one idea from WAL & Recovery, said here in full: before a database changes any of its data, it first writes a line saying what it is about to change into a running log, so a crash can always be replayed from that log.
